BRIDGETON — A Gloucester County man has been indicted by a grand jury in the 2011 murder of a Vineland woman, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said Thursday.

Daniel Brennan, 33, of Greenwich Township, is charged with the murder of Courtney Allen, 24, whom he lived with on East Walnut Road in Vineland. He was indicted Wednesday.

Allen was strangled at the home Dec. 31, 2011, according to the warrant.

Brennan was charged July 31 after an investigation, cold-case review and additional follow-up efforts by the Vineland Police Department and the prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit, according to previous reports.

Assistant Prosecutor Lesley Snock represents the state in the case.
