An Atlantic City man was wounded in a shooting just before noon Friday.

Dominic Robinson, 24, was shot in the back and suffered a graze wound to his leg in the shooting in the 600 block of Drexel Avenue, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

When police arrived at the scene, he already had been taken to the hospital by an unnamed woman. He has been admitted to the hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Robinson is a local rapper who goes by the name Uptown Xtra.

Investigators are following leads on possible suspects, McMenamin said.
