Hamilton Township police are investigating a shooting that wounded a teenager Sunday night.

Police were called to Flintshire Court just before 11 p.m., and found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his back, police said.

He was treated by the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics, and taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Trauma Unit in Atlantic City, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives Frank Schalek and Mike Robison are investigating, but the victim is uncooperative, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 609-625-2700.
