GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — A Camden County man and Pennsylvania woman were charged Saturday after police seized more than 100 Xanax pills and crystal methamphetamine during a motor vehicle stop on Route 30.

At 11:21 p.m. Saturday, K-9 Officer Brent Lopez stopped a Dodge Ram in the 200 block of the White Horse Pike, Sfc. Mark D’Esposito said in a statement Monday.

The vehicle’s occupants, Thomas VonKessel, 31, of Clementon, and Alissa Kolodi, 24, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, exhibited several indicators they were involved in criminal activity, D’Esposito said.

Lopez and K-9 partner Colt conducted a search of the car that indicated the presence of narcotics. A roadside search by Lopez resulted in the seizure of 107 Xanax pills and about 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine, D’Esposito said.

VonKessel was charged with several drug offenses, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a CDS with the intent to distribute.

Kolodi was charged with possession of a CDS. Both were released on a summons pending a future court date.
