MAYS LANDING — A Hammonton man has been charged with possessing and distributing images online depicting child abuse and exploitation, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Robert Houck, 41, was charged Tuesday with multiple counts of possession, distribution, possession with intent to distribute child abuse and child exploitation and storing or maintaining child abuse and exploitation images using a file-sharing program.

The High Technology Criminal Investigations Unit conducted a month-long investigation, finding images on the BitTorrent peer-to-peer file-sharing network, the prosecutor said.

Hammonton Municipal Court Judge Frank Rasco issued warrants for Houck’s arrest.
