An Atlantic City man participated in a life-fire exercise aboard the USS John C. Stennis Friday in the Indian Ocean.

U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms Seaman Recruit Jimmie Roberson fired a M8241 .50-caliber rifle during the exercise, according to the Navy Office of Community Outreach. The ship is deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
