BRIGANTINE — Four police officers were sworn into high-ranking positions Wednesday night at City Council in front of a room full of family, friends and fellow officers.

Seasoned officer and city resident Richard Casamento was sworn in as chief. William Hoffman was sworn in as captain, Steven Ward was sworn in as lieutenant and Christopher Hurst was sworn in as sergeant.
