The Champions Club of Egg Harbor Township will host its annual Superhero Walk & Roll next month to help local children with special needs.

Scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 10, the 1.5-mile relay will take place at the South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon.

“We are thrilled to host the Superhero Walk & Roll for its second year to raise funds and awareness for our local Champions Club,” Lisa Price, club coordinator, said in a news release. “Proceeds from this event allow us to continue expanding our current services offered to all the wonderful people in our community for the children, adult and teen programs, as well as Champions Clubs worldwide.”

The morning’s events include the relay, entertainment and food. A raffle will also be held, with prizes including tickets to an upcoming Jonas Brothers concert, tickets to a Celine Dion show and Atlantic City casino accommodations. Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero.

Online registration is available at championsclubwalkfs.org. Registration is $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-14, and free for children under 3 as well as for all children with special needs.

Participants may also register on site before the relay at Absecon’s Field of Dreams, 1000 Morton Ave. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
