ATLANTIC CITY — A man and woman from Atlantic City were arrested early Monday morning after a man was robbed by an armed couple, police said.

Officers responding to a report of a robbery found an 18-year-old man naked in the 100 block of North Carolina Avenue about 1:55 a.m. The man had been robbed of his belongings and clothes by a woman armed with a knife and a man armed with a handgun, police said.

A brief investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, police said. Kasheema Valentine, 23, was found on the 2700 block of Pacific Avenue. Juan Maldonado, 36, was found in the 2600 block of Atlantic Avenue.

Maldonado was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.

Valentine was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.

Both were taken to the Atlantic County jail.
