MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — A 46-year-old man from the Green Creek section of Middle Township was arrested Friday on child pornography charges, authorities said.

Christopher Kobielnik was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography after authorities searched his home and found electronic items and several child pornography images, according to a news release.

The investigation began after authorities received two cybertips through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an unknown person who possessed images of suspected child porn on a home computer, the release said.

Members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, the New Jersey State Police and the Middle Township Police Department executed the search warrant Friday, the release said.

Kobielnik was processed and released on a summons, the release said.

Anyone can report information anonymously to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135 or to Middle Township police at 609-465-8700.
