EHT Starbucks

A sign outside the new Starbucks location in Egg Harbor Township in the Walmart plaza says the coffee shop will open Thurs., March 15.

A new Starbucks is now open for business in Oak Tree Plaza.

“We’re excited to be part of Egg Harbor Township and look forward to serving the community soon,” a Starbucks spokesperson said in a statement.

The coffee shop does not have any specific grand opening specials. It is, however, the newest establishment to open at the shopping center at Fire Road and the Black Horse Pike.

In August, a WalMart opened as the first store in Oak Tree Plaza. Since then, a Chick-Fil-a, a T-Mobile store and a Petco have opened in the shopping center.

I joined The Press in January 2016 after graduating from Penn State in December 2015. I was the sports editor for The Daily Collegian on campus which covered all 31 varsity sports and several club sports.

My beat is public safety, following police and crime. I started in January 2018 here at the Press covering Egg Harbor and Galloway townships. Before that, I worked at the Reading Eagle in Reading, Pa., covering crime and writing obituaries.
