Snow storm

Due to the impending storm and morning high tide, multiple school districts are opening late Tuesday morning.

Ocean City schools will have a 2-hour delayed opening on Tuesday as well as Upper Township schools.

The snow will wrap up early Tuesday morning, but one to two rounds of minor coastal flooding are expected throughout the day.

For the most part, the snow and rain/snow mix is over across South Jersey. The last flakes will be flying during the morning commute, mainly in Ocean County. The farther north and east you are, the higher the totals.

There will still be a few effects from the storm throughout the day, but they are localized and limited.

With the storm nearby, tides will run high during the morning high tide, between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m. Only minor flooding is forecast. If you flooded with Wednesday’s nor’easter, you will flood again Tuesday morning. Salt water on shoreline roadways and some front lawns is expected.

If your schools is having a delay, email the Press at
