PLEASANTVILLE — A city man suffered multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

Zaire Forbe, 31, of Pleasantville, said he was shot at Bayview Avenue and the bike path in Pleasantville. Forbe suffered multiple shots to the pelvic region, according to a statement issued by police.

At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, city police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Willard Avenue and Broad Street, but no one was there when they arrived, police said.

Police were later alerted that a man who had suffered gunshot wounds was dropped off at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Campus.

Police said the injuries were not life-threatening and the incident is under investigation by the Pleasantville Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.
