Egg Harbor Township police car

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — A two-car accident Friday near the English Creek Shopping Center sent a car rolling across the road, injuring its driver, police said.

At 11:49 a.m., a Nissan Sentra was traveling south on English Creek Avenue while a Toyota Corolla was leaving a gas station parking lot and attempting to cross English Creek, Officer Tom Rocco said.

The Sentra hit the Corolla, which caused the Corolla to roll, Rocco said. Police and EMS were sent to the scene.

The Corolla driver was taken to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point with minor injuries, Ross said. It about took 30 minutes to clear the accident scene, Ross said.

Names, ages and hometowns of the vehicles’ occupants were not provided.
