LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Two bodies have been found inside a home at the New Jersey shore.

But Monmouth County prosecutors say the matter is an "isolated" incident and said there was no threat to the public.

The bodies were found Tuesday night in a Long Branch home. Police had gone there after being asked to do a wellness check on a man who lives in the residence.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims or provided further details on how they died, citing the ongoing investigation. They said the two victims "were known to each other."
