A rally coordinated by Stockton students to save the university’s Island Campus has been rescheduled to Thursday April 2 and Friday April 3 at 4 p.m. due to the holiday weekend.

The rally will be held on the Boardwalk in front of Trump Taj Mahal.

The rally was first announced last week as part of a campaign dubbed “Save Our Stoboat.” Using a hashtag by that name, students took to social media to protest Trump Taj Mahal’s legal dispute with Caesar’s Entertainment over the use of the former Showboat Casino Hotel. The Taj is enforcing a 1988 legal covenant that requires the former Showboat property to be used as a first-class casino hotel. Stockton planned to use the Showboat as a satellite campus.
