WEYMOUTH TOWNSHIP – Police are investigating an unattended death early Thursday in a backyard swimming pool.

State Police in the Buena barracks said they were called to a home on Riverside Drive around 1:42 a.m. Thursday after the victim was found unresponsive in a swimming pool.

Police identified the victim as Pamela McGivney, of Sellersville, Pa.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The incident appears to be accidental but remains under investigation pending the results of an autopsy, police said.
