DIAZ, CARLOS E. - 28 years old, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ passed away peacefully with his loving fiancee and family by his side on October 3, 2015. He was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and was a proud graduate of Holy Spirit High School and St. Peter's College in Jersey City. Carlos was a Regional Associate at WisdomTree Investments. Carlos was survived by his fiancee, Rachel Anne Bertsch; his brother Joseph M. Díaz; his sisters, Nicole M. Guerrieri and Stephanie M. Díaz; his parents, Michelle and Efrain Díaz; his grandparents, Ramón Díaz, John F. Conway, and Carmen S. Conway; his fiancee's mother, Tania Bertsch; his fiancee's brother, Brian Bertsch; his brother-in-law, Gabriel L. Guerrieri; his nephew, Jacob Guerrieri; and his niece and goddaughter, Gabriela Guerrieri. Carlos was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nilda B. Pastrana and his fiancee's father, John E. Bertsch. Carlos, "Carlitos", was a man of strong faith and touched the lives of everyone he met. Although his life here on earth was short, he made every moment count and truly lived life to the fullest. He was an extremely passionate and loving person whose heart was overflowing with immense love. After God, his family and friends were paramount. He was crazy in love with his "First Lady" and best friend, Rachel, whose strength and faith carried him through all the obstacles he faced. Nothing made him happier than to be around his loved ones. He adored his niece and nephew beyond words. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Michigan football fan. Carlos had a passion for music, especially Bruce Springsteen. He never traveled far from home without his guitar. He loved performing with his band, "CopyCopy", all throughout New York City. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, NJ 08221 on Tuesday, October 6th, from 5-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, held at St. Joseph's Church, 606 Shore Rd., Somers Point, NJ 08244 at 11 am, with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in memory of Carlos E. Diaz.
