HARRIS-LEGGETTE, NAIMA ASIA, - 38, of Atlantic City, - returned to our Creator, on Monday, November 5th, 2018. Naima was born on August 3rd, 1980 to the late Mr. Reginald K. Harris and Mrs. Artelia C. Harris- Lockette, in Washington, DC. Naima absolutely loved Cooking, Feeding Others, Music and Dancing. Those closest to her knew she could be very difficult at times, especially during her most challenging moments, however she always had a heart of gold and it was chased by an infectious laugh. Although she faced many obstacles in life during her later years, she always fought back and did her best to overcome them. With the passing of her brother, Issa, in 2011, Naima took it painfully hard and was severely affected. She was extremely helpful, very caring and equally kind-hearted. Naima would encourage others and make it a point to remind them to help their family, if they were in need. Everyone knew her as a very giving and generous person, who was quick to lend you a hand when you needed it. She was proud to be a member of the Islamic Community of Atlantic City, as well as a Cashier, having previously worked at Resort's Hotel & Casino, and lastly employed at the Ramada Inn. She lived in Atlantic City most of her life, but her heart and soul always belonged to her hometown of Washington, DC. Naima enjoyed traveling, she loved being around people and loved her family and friends dearly, and greatly enjoyed the company of her Nephews and Great-Nephews, to the fullest. Naima was predeceased by her Father, Mr. Reginald K. Harris; her Brother, Mr. Issa K. Harris; her Uncle, Mr. Irving Bobo, her Maternal Grandparents, Mrs. Ora Lee and Mr. Cleophus Bobo; and her Paternal Grandparents, Mrs. Rosa B. and Mr. Rogers F. Harris. She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories: Her Husband, Devan Leggette; Her loving Mother, Artelia C. Harris - Lockette and Step-Father Alfred Lockette of Atlantic City, NJ; loving Sister, Kiyia Harris of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; two amazing Nephews, Rahim Harris-Salahuddin and Kharee Nesbitt; three wonderful Great-Nephews, Issa, Khalid, and Issid Nesbitt; her favorite Cousin, Tywan Harris; a special Sister-friend, Atiya "Tee Tee" Woodall; five Uncles; three Aunts, and a host of Cousins, other loving family members, extended family members and many, many friends.
