Rosenblatt, Blanche (Poulson) , - 85, of Ventnor NJ,, died in the early morning of Tuesday May 15. Forever concerned for her family and friends, she tried to assure us she would return home in good health to be with her husband of 65 years, Dr. Morton Rosenblatt. Blanche and Mort met at the Atlantic City Hospital when she was in the School of Nursing, and he was an intern from Jefferson Medical College. They served at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, NY, she as a surgical nurse and he as a surgical resident. Returning to Atlantic City, Blanche and Mort resumed their medical careers and raised their children David and Cathy. Blanche remained a nurse at heart throughout her life, serving family and friends and always ready to participate in a cancer education program. Blanche volunteered in the Family Planning Clinic, the Oncology Clinic and the American Cancer Society. With her husband, she initiated the annual uterine and breast-cancer screening day at Atlantic City Regional Medical Center. Her volunteerism through the Beth Israel Synagogue, the Atlantic County Medical Society Auxiliary and the American Cancer Society was her passion. Her joy was her children and their children, Sara and Zach (Cathy) and Jane and Anne (David), her life with her husband at the beach, and their Eagles games. At her request there will be no funeral or services, but she would no doubt appreciate you stopping by the porch this summer to share stories with her husband Mort.

Dave, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope both of our Moms are together laughing at how they both thought they'd be home, and found a different home together someplace else. Cheers to both good women and the families and friends that love them. God bless you.
