Stevenson, John Garrett, - 29, of Mays Landing, joined the angels in Heaven on Monday, April 3, 2017. Garrett, a Holy Spirit High School graduate, had extensive and heartwarming connections throughout the South Jersey community through school, sports, and the church. He currently owned and operated J. Garrett Painting Plus in Boynton Beach, FL. Garrett left behind a large family with an even larger void. He is survived by his parents and role models, Russell and Michelle Stevenson; his siblings and best friends, Corey Dunn, Thomas (Nichole) Stevenson, Susanna (Jed) Dooley, and Laura (Jimmy) Stevenson; and his beloved and adoring nieces and nephews, Summer Michelle 8, Lucas Russell 7, James David 4, Stella Blue 2, and Baby Dooley; as well as his always supportive Uncles and Aunts, Mark & Terri German and Doug & Pat German. Garrett made every moment better for all of those around him with his bright blue eyes, incredible humor, and perfect smile. Life was beautiful and easy for Garrett until he met his demise with addiction. It was a long and ugly battle that he, his family, and all who knew him, lost 11 days before his 30th birthday.
