Tarby, Roberta A. (Nee Frick) "Bobbie" , - 81, of Pomoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 11,2018. She was born in Egg Harbor City to the late Anton and Hattie Frick. Bobbie graduated from Holy Spirit High School. In 1959, she married her beloved husband, James Tarby. Bobbie worked at James Saltwater Taffy, was Holy Spirit High School lunch lady and a cafeteria server at Absegami High School until her recent retirement. She played for the Tuesday afternoon Oiler's Bowling League and played for the Ventnor City Ladies Softball League. She was an active member of the Assumption School PTA while her children attended and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. She is survived by her husband, James, and two of her children, Robert (Renee) Tarby of Oceanville, NJ and Terri (Bill) Gabriel of Galloway Township, NJ. She is also survived by siblings, Sister Mary Anton and Antoinette (Thomas) Forkan. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Robert (Betsy) Tarby Jr., Ryan Tarby, Bill Gabriel III, Morgan Gabriel, and Michael Simpkins, Jr. And great grandchildren, Mae and Owen Tarby. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Simpkins and her siblings, Billy, Richie, Henry, MaryEmma, and Dorothy. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (Assumption) in Galloway Township on Tuesday, June 19th from 9-11 am, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11 am. Interment will be at the Egg Harbor City Cemetery in Egg Harbor City immediately following. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway 609-641-0001.
