Watson, Betty C., - 90, of Atlantic City, She passed away, Friday, April 13, 2018, after a lengthy illness in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Born August 15, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA to Helen Gould and Major Thornton Collins. She married Charles Watson. She was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School. She obtained a degree in education from Glassboro State College. She also obtained her Masters Degree's in Special Education and Library/Media Sciences from Glassboro and Temple Universities. She worked as a nurse at Shore Memorial Hospital before becoming a teacher in the Atlantic City School system retiring in 1993. She was a devoted member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church. She was also a member of her beloved sorority, IOTA Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. She is survived by: Charles and Rebecca Watson, Celeste and Derrick Lattimore; grandchildren, Nikki and Eldridge Ponder, Colin and Colby Watson; and three great-grandchildren, Robert, Mignon and Clarke Moore. The family wishes to thank Dr. John Kasper, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, AtlantiCare Hospice, Father Boyce and St. Augustine's, and the IOTA Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Thursday, April 19, 2018, St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, 1709 Arctic Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9AM.
