Perry Mays heads the Coalition for a Safe Community

Perry Mays is the chairman of the Coalition for a Safe Community in Atlantic County, based in Atlantic City and Pleasantville. The coalition works to educate and promote safe communities by hosting events and outings while also tackling violence that has made headlines in recent years throughout the area. It achieves its goals through partnerships with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the sheriff’s office, local officials, and churches. This year, Mays said he wants to expand the coalition’s reach, citing Egg Harbor City and Galloway as potential areas of growth. “Our goal is to create healthy and safe communities throughout Atlantic County,” Mays said.
