Rev. Collins A. Days Sr. of Second Baptist Church in A.C.

Since the Rev. Collins A. Days Sr. arrived in 1994 at Second Baptist Church in Atlantic City, his work as a minister has always been accompanied by community-based projects in Atlantic City and overseas.

Days established a community development corporation known as Vision 2000 and started the Pastor’s Posse, a mentor program for male teenagers. He is the president of the Atlantic City Long-Term Recovery Group, which is one of the more successful private Hurricane Sandy relief programs.

His newest initiative is C.O.P.E., which stands for Church Outreach To People Everywhere

“We want to have impact citywide,” Days said. “Our church is a microcosm of the needs of the city.”
