Friday: The Angels return from the All-Star break with a three-game series against the Mariners (39-55) starting at 10:07 p.m. Mike Leake (7-7, 4.32) will start for Seattle. Trout is 12 for 24 with two home runs, two RBIs, four walks and four strikeouts against him.

Up next: After the series at home against Seattle, the Angels host the AL West-leading Houston Astros for four games before heading to Seattle for a three-game series Friday to Sunday.

Stats: Trout is hitting .301 (91 for 302) with 28 home runs, 67 RBIs and 71 runs scored in 87 games. He has walked 76 times, most in the major leagues, including 11 intentional, and stolen eight bases on 10 attempts. His on-base percentage is .453, best in the majors, and his OPS is 1.098. His 28 homers are the most in the American League.

The Angels are 45-46.
