Kyle (20) and Kyle (27) lead Hammonton to 20-14 win over Winslow Township

A quick look at some of Friday’s outstanding performances on the gridiron:


Hammonton brothers Kyle and Kevin Vandever hooked up for the winning play as the Blue Devils beat Winslow Township 20-14. Kyle, a sophomore quarterback, threw a 69 yard touchdown pass to Kevin, a senior, with 1 minute, 14 seconds left in the game. Jaiden Abrams, the standout Hammonton sophomore, ran for 159 yards and a touchdown in the win. The Blue Devils are now 3-4.


Eddie Jamison: The Millville quarterback threw three touchdown passes in a 40-12 win over Bridgeton. He has now has 14 touchdown passes this season. Thunderbolts running back Tex Thompson (15 carries for 127 yards) topped the 100-yard mark for the first time in his career. Millville is now 4-3.


Luke Snyder: The St. Augustine Prep sophomore kicked field goals of 32 and 27 yards and made both extra points as the Hermits beat Holy Spirit 27-14.


Charlie Cotton: The Barnegat running back scored two touchdowns and became the Bengals career rushing leader in a 28-7 win over Keyport. Cotton carried 22 times for 140 yards against Keyport. Cotton has 1,693 career yards.


Jaden Roberts: The Buena Regional running back carried 13 times for 226 yards as the Chiefs improved to 6-0 with a 42-6 defeat of Clayton. Buena will play at Pleasantville (5-1) on Friday at 6 p.m. in next weekend’s Game of the Week.
