Joseph Fala broke the Ramapo College men’s soccer single-season goal record last week.

Fala, a 6-foot-7 junior forward and 2016 Middle Township High School graduate from Cape May Court House, scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime victory against William Paterson on Wednesday. His 23rd goal of the season came in the 93rd minute.

Fala’s first goal of the game, in the eighth minute, broke the Road Runners’ previous record of 21 goals that stood for eight years.

Ramapo (14-2-2) is the No. 2 seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament and will play at 2 p.m. Tuesday against sixth-seeded William Paterson in the semifinal.

Josiah Nistorenko (Ocean City) had an assist in Cairn’s 4-0 win over Bryn Athyn. It was the freshman’s first collegiate point.

Stevenson’s Matt Stellitano (Mainland Regional) earned his second Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week award Monday. He made six saves in a 1-0 loss to Haverford and five in a 2-0 win over Widener.

Chad Catalana (St. Augustine Prep) had an assist in Immaculata’s 2-1 loss to Cabrini.

Caden Sundermann (Pinelands Regional) had an assist in Wesley’s 3-2 win over Marymount.

Women’s soccer

Two Absegami grads battled in net during a 1-1 tie between Albright and Widener. Alexis Tunney (2015 graduate) made 12 saves for Albright, and Delaney Sabath (2018) made 10 for Widener.

Tunney made one save in a shutout half of a 5-2 win over Alvernia. Sabath made five in a 1-0 win over Stevenson.

Another Absegami graduate and goalie, Mackenzie Paugh, was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference second team Monday. Paugh made six saves in Cairn’s 1-0 loss to Centenary. In a 3-0 win over Keystone, Paugh made three saves, and Dakota Hitchner (Atlantic Christian) scored.

Madie Gibson (Lower Cape May Regional) had two assists in Monmouth’s 7-0 win over Iona. She was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 8, her second honor of the season.

Natalie Axelsson (Absegami) made three saves in Georgian Court’s 1-0 win over Holy Family.

Madison Chiola (Hammonton) made seven saves in Palm Beach Atlantic’s 2-1 win over Embry-Riddle.

Brittany Purdy (Absegami) scored in Cabrini’s 1-1 tie with Immaculata.

Kylee Ballard (Egg Harbor Township) scored in Coast Guard Academy’s 4-0 win over Albertus Magnus.

Ashley Edgell (Ocean City) had an assist in Misericordia’s 6-0 win over Manhattanville.

Maddie Musico (Barnegat) had an assist in Montclair State’s 2-1 win over Rutgers-Camden in a New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament game.

Anna Attardi (ACIT) made seven saves in Neumann’s 5-0 win over Marywood. On Monday, Attardi was named to the Atlantic East Conference honor roll.

Morgan Bringoli (Barnegat) had an assist in William Paterson’s 3-1 win over Ramapo.

Field hockey

Rialee Allen (Ocean City) had an assist in La Salle’s 2-1 win over Rider and another in a 7-1 loss to Saint Joseph’s.

Kelly Hanna (Ocean City) had an assist in Monmouth’s 2-0 win over Lock Haven.

Madison Morano (Eastern Regional; Hammonton resident) had an assist in Penn State’s 5-0 win over Bucknell and another in a 3-2 loss to Iowa.

Kat Conroy (Southern Regional) had an assist in Rider’s 2-1 loss to La Salle and scored in a 2-1 loss to Colgate.

Alyssa Donato (Cumberland Regional) scored both goals, including the go-ahead goal in the 70th minute, in Kutztown’s 2-1 win over Indiana (Pennsylvania).
