BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP — Isaiah Raikes jokes that he weighs 295 pounds after a bowl a spaghetti.

After a steak?

“303,” he said with a laugh.

The St. Augustine Prep defensive lineman and part-time running back ran for two touchdowns to propel the Hermits to a 27-14 win over Holy Spirit in a West Jersey Football League interdivision game Friday night.

“I try to (get) the hard yards and get after it out there,” Raikes said. “I love playing offense, to be honest.”

The 6-foot-1 Raikes just may be South Jersey’s most unique player. The Glassboro resident carried 10 times for 30 yards and scored on runs of 2 and 9 yards.
