Cedar Creek High School, led by girls winner Megan Winterbottom, won the Johnson Harmon Cup cross country championship Friday, beating Absegami and Oakcrest.

The meet is the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District championship, and it honors the late Harmon, the first cross country coach in the district and a former Oakcrest principal.

Cedar Creek won the championship with 59 points. The combined scores of both the girls and boys races determine the final overall scores. Winterbottom won the girls race in 19 miinutes, 25 seconds.

Mike Liberty of Oakcrest won the boys race in 16:04.
