The Cedar Creek High School girls basketball team used timely free throw shooting in a comeback 45-41 win over Wildwood in overtime Saturday.
Jazzy Duverglas and Trina Deveney each scored 16 points to lead the Pirates.
Duverglas sank a pair of free throws with 43.8 to put the Pirates up 43-41. Sarah Tomasello also hit 3 of 4 free throws in the final minute to help the Pirates pull away.
Duverglas also grabbed nine rebounds and Deveney had 12 boards. Wildwood's Maddie McCracken scored a game-high 33 points.
The two teams were playing in the first-annual Kiss Cancer Goodbye Tournament at Atlantic County Institute of Technology. A total of 10 teams played five games throughout the day.
