The Egg Harbor Township High School girls soccer team beat host Millville 1-0 Friday to clinch the Cape-Atlantic League American Conference title.

Nicole Danz scored an unassisted goal from outside the 18-yard line in the 14th minute.

The win also gave the Eagles (8-2-1) a spot in the CAL Girls Soccer Tournament. EHT will host Ocean City at 5 p.m. Monday in a tournament semifinal game.

Grace Baumgartel made 15 saves for EHT. Megan Fooy had four saves for Millville (8-2-2).

The Eagles finished 7-1 in the American Conference. Millville was 6-1-1 in the conference.

“This is the first time in school history that we’ve won the American Conference, so we’re pretty excited,” EHT coach Christian Wiech said. “It was a good, high-paced, physical game, and things kind of went our way.

“We can’t wait to host the game with Ocean City on our turf field. They’re a quality team, and we’re excited to play in the tournament.”

No. 10 Ocean City 2,

Middle Twp 1

Carley Reighard and Tanis McDonnell scored one goal apiece for the Red Raiders (10-4-1), the No. 10 team in The Press Elite 11.

Abbey Fenton made five saves.

Middle’s Emily Mendel scored in the second half, assisted by Kira Sides. Brynn Bock made five saves for the Panthers (6-6-2).

Boys soccer

Millville 1,

ACIT 1

Geoffrey Dash scored in the first half for visiting Millville (7-5-2), and Treshan Stevenson assisted.

Pedro Guzman scored to tie it for ACIT (8-4-1) in the second half with an assist by Preston Beasley. Nate Goranson made 10 saves for Millville, and Luke Olley had four saves for the Red Hawks.

No. 10 Ocean City 1,

Middle Twp. 0

Trevor Paone scored the game’s only goal for the Red Raiders (9-4) in the second half Thursday.

Fisher Hudak assisted. Brian Calderon made one save to earn the shutout.

Braden Scarpa made six saves for the Panthers (8-6)

Egg Harbor Township 2,

Mainland Reg. 1 OT

Lauren Chavarria scored 3 minutes, 44 second into overtime to lift Egg Harbor Township (9-5) to victory.

Olivia Elwell assisted on the game-winner. Sara Kacprzykowski scored in the first half for the Eagles, and Rebecca Machia made seven saves.

Mainland’s Casey Murray scored 21 minutes into the second half to force overtime. Michael Brady recorded eight saves. The Mustangs fell to 10-4.

Atlantic City 3,

Absegami 2

Katie Master scored two goals to lead the Vikings (6-7-1). Alana Sanchez scored one goal, and Mackenzie Smith had two assists.

Gabrielle Jacobson made 10 saves for the Vikings.

Morgan Foule scored one goal and had one assist for Absegami (5-8-2). Alyssa Destefano scored one goal, and Liz Picardi made 12 saves.

Millville 4,

Vineland 0

Casey Etter scored three goals. and Kayla Grablow added a goal and an assist for host Millville (7-5-1).

Jaylene Williams had two assists, and Alyssa McIsaac had three saves for the shutout.

The score was 2-2 at halftime.

Zareiah Jones made two saves for Vineland (2-9-1).
