The Absegami High School girls volleyball team defeated St. Joseph 2-0 to win the Cape-Atlantic League American Division title Wednesday.
The Braves won the title with an undefeated division record of 8-0. The Braves are now 15-5 overall.
The Braves won their sets 25-9, 25-19. Mariyah Betancourt had nine digs and six kills to lead Absegami. Jackie Fortis added nine kills, while Kailyn Fortis put up 21 assists.
Oakcrest (14-4) defeated Pleasantville 25-17, 25-12. Ionyonia Alves had six kills, two aces and one block for the Falcons. Brooke Mischlich had four kills, three digs and one ace. Jackie Wilhelm finished with 10 digs and two aces.
Rosa Gil-Hernandez had seven kills and six assists for Pleasantville (12-7). Yancely Hernandez added eight kills and Nairelys Gonzalez put up 13 digs.
Kylie Alvarez had two goals for the Braves (6-8-2). Rylie Getter had one goal and one assist. Sarah Stokes had one assist. Rebecca Silipena had four saves.
Emma Maise had one goal and one assist for the Gators (9-8-2). Erin McCormick added one goal. Katherine Elmer had four saves.

Anna Bond, Mia Rafter and Kira Sides scored a goal apiece for the Panthers (8-8-2). Brynn Bock had eight saves. Madison Alcorn had 17 saves for the Colts (1-16).

Sophia Ridolfo had three goals for the Chiefs (12-4-3). Olivia Dortu and Olivia Dormanen each had one goal and one assist. Evelyn Cruz had one goal, and Gracie Sacco had one assist. Bridget Gilliano had three saves.
