Hammonton pitcher Jerry Mulderid struck out nine batters and gave up three hits in six innings to them to a 1-0 win over the Margate Hurricanes on Wednesday in the Atlantic County Baseball League.

Mulderid also hit the game-winning RBI single to bring in Frank Galeota. Mike Adams took the loss for Margate pitching a full game with four hits and six strikeouts.

From Tuesday

Absecon 4, Hammonton 1: Absecon’s winning streak extended to six games.

Joe Joe Rodriguez struck out nine in six innings, allowing a run on three hits to lead Absecon. Ray Keelan hit a solo homer in the fifth. Matt Branco went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Chris Mormile singled and scored a run.

Kevin Baxter struck out three in five innings for Hammonton. Jerry Mulderig had an RBI. Absecon improved to 6-1 and Hammonton fell to 3-1.

Ocean City 4, Ventnor 2: Ocean City defeated Ventnor 4-2 in a Atlantic City Baseball League game Tuesday at Ocean City. Ocean City pitcher Nick Atohi took the win with 10 strikeouts pitching the full game. Sean Carew hit a homerun and batted in four RBIs for Ocean City. Steven Myers also walked twice and scored a run.

Nick Halman led Ventnor with three hits and an RBI.

Margate Hurricanes 7, Northfield 0: Montgomery Strickland and Eric Fitzgerald both hit homeruns to help the Margate hurricanes defeat North Field 7-0. Chris Knott had three hits and Mark Elliot had two hits for the Hurricanes. Jared Lenko took the win pitching for six innings with five strikeouts and four hits. Margate remains undefeated at 5-0 while North Field falls to 6-1.

Upper/OC 5, Egg Harbor City 4: Upper/Ocean City beat Egg Harbor City 5-4 after 10 innings. Dom Fiorentino had a triple and a single-RBI for Upper/OC.  Brian Casey two hits and Jack Halbruner got the win in relief.

Egg Harbor City's John Newman had three hits and an RBI and John Rivera had an RBI double. Josh Wagner pitched 10 innings.
